Welcome Back! I am excited to embark on a new school year with your child. I grew up in a small town on the border of Ventura and Los Angeles County. I moved to San Diego to attend college at San Diego State University where I received both my Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and my teaching credential. Shortly after I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in technology from Concordia University.
This is my 15th year teaching. I am so excited to be joining the Chet F. Harritt family this year, I have worked in Santee School District for the past 13 years as an impact teacher, as well as a 5th and 6th grade teacher. Prior to working in Santee I was a third grade teacher in Chula Vista for two years. I believe that children have a variety of ways to learn information; therefore it is my job to make sure that I engage each and every student.
Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family which includes my husband Jay, my two sons Caleb (8) and Brayden(5) as well as our golden retriever named Skyy. On my spare time I enjoy being active, going for runs and spending time with family and friends.
