Hello Pepper Drive Families, 

My name is Jorge Flores-Blanco. I was born and raised in Honduras, a small country in Central America. My journey as an educator began at Florence Elementary in the San Diego Unified School District. From there, I moved to Las Vegas, where I taught middle school math for three years before returning to San Diego in 2013 to join the EJE Academies in El Cajon.

Over the past 12 years at EJE, I had the privilege of serving in multiple roles: as a middle school math and science teacher, as Dean of Instruction—where I worked alongside teachers to strengthen math instruction—and most recently as Executive Director. Each of these experiences shaped my belief that strong relationships, high expectations, and a supportive environment are the keys to student success.

As I step into this new chapter at Pepper Drive, I am filled with excitement for the year ahead. I cannot wait to meet our students, connect with families, and work alongside an incredible team of educators to continue building a school culture where every child can be successful.
