What To Expect The First Day (Aug 23, 2023)
Welcome to Room 4!
***It is super helpful to double knot your child's shoelaces any time they wear tie shoes!
Here are the instructions I will give out Day #1:
Come on in and help your child find their seat! On your way in the door, please let me (and your child) know where you will be meeting them after school. This is very important for getting them home.
Choices are:
FRONT OF SCHOOL BY OFFICE (OUT OF CAR)
CAR PICK UP LINE FRONT OF SCHOOL (WAIT IN YOUR CAR)
TOP OF STAIRS BY LOWER LOT (PARK AND WAIT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STAIRS)
Or will your child be:
RIDING THE BUS
GOING TO CHILDREN’S CHOICE
GOING TO READY, SET, GROW
GOING TO PROJECT SAFE
Help your child hang their backpacks on their chair. If you haven't already, please make sure to label their lunch box, water bottle, jacket, so that they can be easily reunited with any misplaced items.
If your child brought school supplies (optional), please place them in a tub (found stacked on each table), label the tub with your child’s name on a sticky note and set the tub on the floor next to their desk. Snacks and/or lunches brought from home stay in backpacks until we need them. Water bottles may be placed on the floor next to the desk.
Feel free to write a message on a sticky note to leave for your child. Help your child get started on creating a design with the shapes on their desk. They can use the design papers on their desk, or create their own.
