Citizenship and Effort Grading

The Target is Excellent Citizenship:

*Parent/Guardian contacted when a student goes down a citizenship grade. Dinks are recorded in PowerSchool as a comment  (date & reason #) to  citizenship grade*

A+= 0 dinks for the trimester!

A (1-3 dinks given for the trimester)

The student ALWAYS:

* Provides positive leadership by NOT intentionally turning focus of the class on oneself by asking questions or making comments that are off-topic and meant to garner a reaction from the class &/or staying on task during instruction and independent work periods

 *Maintains  a positive relationship with peers by NOT putting hands on another 7/or  name-calling &/or getting into another’s things w/o permission

*Demonstrates high levels of self-discipline by NOT causing disruptions to self and others by being off-task &/or calling out inappropriately &/or talking excessively in a  non-class-related  manner to seat mates or across the classroom &/or  following established class procedures and routines &/or being out of seat/wandering around randomly &/or turning tools into toys

B (4-6 dinks givens for the trimester)

The student USUALLY:
